Uncool behaviour if this is the full story. Pro wrestlers are hotheads at the best of times, but violence towards women is unforgivable at any time, no exceptions. Since this is a metal site, I wanted to make a comment to Jericho(regardless of what did or didn’t happen on this occasion). Jericho has been a long-time public admirer of the jesus-metal band Stryper. When I did graduate work at Western Washington, there were a surprising number of guitarists studying there at the same time. I knew this evangelical army reserves guy called ‘Gord’ – a really funny guy. Anyway, he said he liked Stryper and he made the mistake of telling this to a guitarist doing graduate work there. The guitarist in question replied,”Aw, Gord – Stryper sucks!” Indeed. To Hell with the Devil, Jericho? To Hell with Stryper, I say. I’m an unrepentant pagan and going to Hell and my opinion can be easily dismissed, but the jesus-metal bands Warpig and the Resurrection Band(whose ‘Mommy Doesn’t Love Daddy Anymore” CD is the Led Zeppelin 4 of jesus-metal) could pin Stryper for the three count in the middle of the ring every night of the year. So there. I love Fozzy, Chris, but I detest your drummer(as a person, not a drummer). Sorry. Don’t rough up women regardless of the provocation, dude… Greg Cameron, Surrey, B.C., Canada

I think the security should have kept the fans away so that this situation didn’t have to escalate. Chris Jericho didn’t deserve to have somebody spit in his face. I met him at Download in 2005 and he’s a really nice guy. Why a wrestling fan would get angry at a character Jericho plays I do not know – I’ll put it down to complete ignorance. Having a go at a wrestler who plays a heel makes as much sense as having a go at Anthony Hopkins for playing Hannibal Lecter and being unable to distinguish between Hopkins and Lecter.

Oh dear, looks like Bezer just owned the grammar police – good work!
