I was just wondering if you have ever met the Fuel Girls?

I am ashamed to admit that when I first heard of the idea of the fuel girls I shared some of Doobys uninformed and prejudiced thoughts about them although not to that extreme. I just thought ‘oh right, another troop of dancers with their tits out’. Five minutes into the first time I saw them I was absolutly bowled over. They are sheer excellence to watch, the shows are amazing and I ended the last one covered in a mix of jamesons, feathers and kerosene. It was awesome! Audience participation ftw!
So lets address some of Doobys concerns shall we?
1. They look slutty and act it - er have you been to a rock club recently? Have you seen what some of the girls wear? But youre ok with that right? LOLZ. Have you seen burlesque shows? They dont act slutty, they put on a performance and if you dont like it dont go see them. Simple. Personally Ive met some of them and Im good friends with one of them and theyre all lovely and its a shame they have to put up with the preconceptions some idiots hold about them before they even meet them.
2. Disgracing the females of the metal race? So youre defined by what all other females who happen to like metal do? Please dont sit there and speak for all of us. If you actually look at feminist literature youll find that by doing what they want and acting however they want no matter what other people or snottyassed girls *hint hint* may think of them, theyre actually empowering themselves. So what if they choose to ‘get their tits out’ its their bodies and their choice.
It seems that girls who have the issues with the fuel girls voice here are the girls who really wish they had the confidence to go up there and do what they do.
I suggest you go to a fuel girls show, its not what you expect it to be (and I should know as Ive said I was at first dubious). Then you can make an informed comment instead of all this they suck bands off blah blah blah waffle waffle waffle. When you go to the show look at the front rows and you will see them packed full of girls. I myself have made sure Im right at the front cheering them on at the last 2 sin shows and ill be doing it at the next one as well. Dammit if I had their figures and moves Id crawl up there and join them. I think I digress let me sum it up with THE FUEL GIRLS ARE AWESOME SO BACK THE FUCK UP!

I have just had a read through all the comments and despite really not giving a fuck about dooby doo’s views ( we are all entitled to an opinion after all) I wanted to say that the girls and I are really touched that we have so many amazing fans out there who really embrace the show and the atmosphere that we strive to bring to any bar, club or event that we happen to walk into.

We believe that the Fuel Girls show is very much about celebrating the female form and indeed the beauty that radiates from a strong and confident woman. To prove, more to the girls then the guys, that any girl can be as good as anyone else.

Our girls can ride bikes, breath fire, drift cars and kick back and have a good time and at the end of the day that’s all we want to do… have a fucking good time.
