Fuse: UK’s First Gaming and Music Festival

Fuse 07, a unique and innovative gaming and music festival, confirm J Rock phenomenon ‘Dir en grey’ to headline at the Shepherds Bush Empire on Friday 2nd November. ‘Dir en grey’ are a ground breaking phenomenon, who made the leap onto European soil earlier this year, selling out the Carling Islington Academy two nights running in August. The band see Fuse 07 as an integral step in the promotion of their album ‘ The Marrow of a Bone‘ and as being avid gamers this also opens up a new fan base of rabid Xbox fans!.

Over 2000 hard-core music and gaming fans will join a host of stars to pack out the legendary Shepherds Bush Empire to witness the best of the country’s unsigned bands in a genuine festival atmosphere. Fuse07 is the only event in the world that has successfully melded the worlds of hard rock and hard-core gaming into one festival style event.

Today marks the launch of www.fuseuploaded.com an unsigned band competition for bands throughout the UK to compete for a professional development contract with Visible Noise – one of the most influential independent labels in rock music.

For four of the bands who generate the most votes there will be the opportunity to play infront of a packed venue and a host of judges including Dan Carter from the Radio 1 Rock Show, Music entrepreneur Phil Ellis, Ex head of AnR ZTT Records and outspoken music legend Ron Atkinson, representatives from Gibson, Metal Hammer and Julie Weir, head of Visible Noise, who will determine the winner on the night.

The well established Battle of the Bands format in music is given a new twist at Fuse07 when the gaming Battle of the Clans is intertwined with the bands battle, and will see the country’s very best X Box Live and PC gamers compete in the culmination of two major national online tournaments. Additionally, JAM Sessions, the ground breaking Nintendo DS game for budding guitarists, will take place on real guitars supplied by Gibson in a duel of riffs!

With the Gameplay on a giant screen entertaining the rock crowd through the night, the gaming and rock fans will also be treated to world exclusive first looks at some of the BIGGEST games due to be released this year in the X Box arena, and will be in the venue for all to play. This will include the ground breaking Tom Clancy’s End War – the worlds first X Box Live game to be controlled by voice commands – and the ‘must have’ Assassins Creed and Haze!
