Uncle Gene fights back after Trent Reznor called him a clown. it seems as though Trent likes the insult clown quite a bit. He used it to describe Marilyn Manson recently too.
Gene Simmons has had the following to say to NIN man Trent Reznor:
“No worries. Trent grew up on Kiss and cut his teeth on our toons. When he was recording ‘Downward Spiral’, he had two action figures on his mix console — Jesus and Gene Simmons.
“Once you’re a self confessed heroin addict, who used the stuff for years, you don’t look at life the way the rest of us do… I’m told.

Reznor is my favorite of the 2 I own several of HIS albums, Not one of Kiss,.. but what an ass Rez is to take a swipe at a living Legend. See where his self-vaunted INTEGRITY puts HIM at 60. He made himself the Clown when he talked smak. Whether or not I agree with him is moot. I’m not trying to justify my record-numbers am I? Gene needs to take the Tyler approach t these young cubs.
