Hacride On Playing The Indian Music Conference

Check out an interview with rising French metallers Hacride on playing the upcoming Indian Music Conference.

Cynic, French metallers Hacride and German riffsters Leaves Eyes are amongst the bands that will be taking place in the Indian Music Conference.

Set to take place on November 17th-20th, 2010 in Goa, the Indian Music Conference will feature the best of Indian metal acts and some of the finest international metal bands, DJ’s and guest speakers over the course of four days.

We spoke to rising metallers Hacride on their thoughts on playing this event:

Is it your first time in India?
Adrien Grousset (guitars) :Yes it will be our first time there , we’ve been approached before by some promoters but we couldn’t make it happen . We are glad this show is confirmed  even if it’s like lot of things to organise. We really don’t know what to expect but it is very exciting to meet new people with such a very different culture and background. I was told the public is crazy there, I’m really looking forward to it.

What do you know about the country?
Not so much, I know about the history of the country from reading some books, I’ve seen some movies and documentaries but I know it’s always very different from a real life experience especially in that kind of context. From my point of view, it’s a country undergoing radical transformation with a very sophisticated culture.

How do you feel going there ?
Feels good and exciting as I said, it’s very important for me to share our music with people from all over the world and I’m very flattered that the Indian Music Conference invited us to play there as a one of the headlining  act of the event. On top of that Cynic just have been confirmed also, I really like this band and I think it’s very nice to share the stage with them especially in this part of the world. It looks like India is very interested in this kind of progressive music that we’re proud to be a part of.

Would you know of a good Indian veg meal ?
I’m not such a specialist in Indian food apart from vegetables cooked with curry or tandoori chicken, tikka lamb but that’s not vegetarian though. Anyway I guess it would be a good occasion to discover it. I ‘ve heard a lot of good things about Indian food in general.
