This is bullshit, What about the younger metal heads i am 13 i first bought hammer last year and fucking loved it, and i`ve actually swore to always buy hammer magazine no matter who tries to stop me, But now you have gone and pissed me right off why cant you make it so a younger audience are aloud to come the hammer fest if they’re with an adult, Not that i`d want some lame fucker hanging around with me… but ya`no just for the people to see that i`m with a responsible adult, Maybe you`ll take this into consideration and make it so that younger metal fans can come… hope you fucking do!

Struggling to sell tickets so have to get the minors in?

Hmm, i doubt thats gonna sell more tickets. Chances are every metal head in that part of wales (regardless of whether they were 18 or not) has bought a ticket on the off chance that they would get in. and the chances are that most of the metal heads in this country (again regardless of age) who are willing to travel that long way for the less than satisfactry line-up and WAY less than impressive location have also bought thier tickets too, soo, i cant see this helping you much….btw, the average hardcore festival attendee will probably feel a little strange going back to a nice warm room after their daily mosh as opposed to crawling in a sleeping bag

s’all good, other than the fact that hammerfest is in the middle of nowhere. Hammerfest should be in England, more to the point in the North, to make up for all the travelling us people have to do to get to Download. Please?

I don’t understand why people are so negative about this festival. Yeah, BFMV are headlining, so what? Are they forcing you to go see them? From what I recall, there is at least 6 arenas at this thing. There are always bands you don’t want to see on a festival line-up – look at this as an opportunity to go see the band you REALLY want to see! For instance, if your two favorite bands were Saxon and Opeth, and one was headlining and the other was playing a different stage at the same time, how would you choose who to go see? Now you don’t have to choose.
And one more thing, all you metal fans complaining about the travelling distance? I was under the impression that the spirit of metal endured all those things? What about people who travel to Wacken, or Tuska? Some of them are barely adults themselves. Hell, I live in Northern Ireland and I’m not complaining about the location of the festival! My friends, do not let the spirit of metal be corrupted by laziness and complacency – if you truly consider yourself “Defenders of the Faith” then suck it up and look on the travelling aspect as an experience.
