Has Borland Joined Guns N’ Roses(!?)
This very well could be the realms of fantasy with alleged quotes from Borland liberally being thrown into discussions.
“I’m gonna miss Fred,” begins one supposed quote from Wes. “But what could be better than having played for both Limp Bizkit, the biggest Rock band of the late 90′s until now, and Guns n’ Roses? Those guys were just like us way back in the day!”
“When I met Axl I won him over by presenting him with a very special gift,” reads another. “I gave him a red baseball cap and I told him that I’m gonna teach him to rap like Fred does, too!”
“When I was in second grade,” begins a third, “I used to mosh to ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, and there is no higher honour than playing with not one, but two of the greatest balding rock vocalists of all time!”
According to these same (humorous) exchanges, on the subject of departed Guns N’ Roses guitarist Buckethead, Borland is alleged to have quipped:
“Listen, that Buckethead guy is in a League of his own. I am stupefied by what he does with the guitar. And that whole bit where I paint my face white was totally inspired by him. His skills are out if this world! What the heck was he doing wasting his time with Axl anyway? While in no way can I replace Big B, I have no problem about stepping into the shoes of Slash. I’ll give Axl the best of both worlds, mindlessly playing his old songs while dancing around like a quirky fool on stage.”
‘Hammer verdict: Bollocks but extremely good fun!
