Yeah I’m not with em if Tyler ain’t in, just as if Perry, Kramer or any others pulled out it wouldn’t be the same! I hope they realize how badly it’ll work without him and just stick around for a few more years so I can see 1 of the greatest bands goin!!!

I hope they stay together, but if it’s inevitable that they’ll split, at least do one big-ass tour to finish off. A festival would be nice. (hint: Download.)

Can’t say this is much of a suprise. The band has not produced any decent music for a good few years. Perhaps this is a good excuse for them to pack in and put us out of our misery.

They’ll get somebody else, do a few gigs (so people can say ‘I saw them without Tyler’), Tyler will release a poppier single with either a younger/hipper producer or a duet with, say, Justin Timberlake or Miley Cyrus, and then he’ll realise he’s being a twat and come back.

I don’t like Aerosmith at all)… but the band just won’t be the same without Tyler. he’s as much as the image of the band as the voice. But many bands have replaced vocalists and got it right, although more have gotten it wrong. I am hella curious to see what happens for the future of the band though…

I’m sad to see it happen but everyone must admit that ‘Smith have been off the boil for a long, long time now. They’ve been bringing out so much AOR rubbish these days and it was only there live show that was saving them (and even that has been limping a fair bit too lately). I’ve never really been one of these people that thinks that once a band gets to a certain age they should give it up – if they’re good then who gives a fuck?? I’ve seen some awesome reunions by some great bands that totally blew the young guns off the stage (Sex Pistols, KISS and The Police are three that spring to mind) but Aerosmith are not what they used to be and maybe should go out with a bang and not a whimper.
