Machine Head were joined onstage by none other than James Hetfield in Oberhausen, Germany for a rendition of the former’s mammoth riffathon, ‘Aesthetics Of Hate’.

You can find both band’s on the bill of this year’s Sonisphere festival!
Sonisphere will be headlined by Metallica and Linkin Park and will take place on August 1st – 2nd at Knebworth. Also on the bill will be Nine Inch Nails, Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, Machine Head, Lamb Of God, Alice In Chains, Mastodon, Anthrax, Airbourne, Thin Lizzy, Killing Joke and The Sword.

Makes a change from most of the usual lame shit Hetfield’s been playing for years now. I’m amazed he can remember what thrash is.
I had hoped of seeing something like this @ the London shows. Very jealous. Two of my favourite bands (well 1 member of my favourite band) rocking out together. Lucky Germans.

I think Machine Head are a blend of thrash and groove. Where some songs are thrash whilst others are groove. They also have had nu metal on previous albums.
