Im not member of the Street Team but HIM are my favourite band and I’d just like to say to you two that the fact HIM win these polls is because their fans care!!

Well where were all you HIM fans before you heard about these polls?? I’ll tell you where, on Kerraps website that’s where. Piss off back over there and stop mass voting and ruining proper metal bands chance at album of the decade.

“Our poll!!!!!!!” well that sounds like if you were that poll’s owner or something. Instead of arguing in these sites you should ask yourselves what is causing your fav bands don’t get the enough support in these polls or contests? If a band is winning is just because its fans really support it, and not only fans but other people too. Checking the results 4000 votes far from the next, SOAD, is a lot. Adding to this that HIM is definitely not mainstream and that there are other more popular bands in the list, like Korn or Metallica, M.Manson… I find this interesting. Btw, checking other results HIM also won the best MH cover from the last 20 years lol. Is there any HIM street team? wow, there you have an organized fans movement… I love Tool and NIN… I’m deciding my vote, my HIM fav album is Venus Doom not Dark Light and I love HIM too, so….well I want them to win

A lot of you guys don’t give HIM enough credit, so they’re winning an internet poll deal with it. I personally voted for Children of Bodom’s ‘Are You Dead Yet?’ for album of the decade but I also think Dark Light is up there as well. It really is a great album guys.

You guys are getting mad because HIM is winning. The reason why HIM is winning the polls is because they ACTUALLY have fans that like to support them. I mean, i do find it odd that there are extremely famous fans loosing to HIM, like SOAD or Metallica. But you just have to face the facts. You guys dont support your fav bands

Just to let you guys know that your Album Of The Decade poll is being mass-voted by the HIM Street Team, I’d consider discounting a lot of the HIM votes, the same happened with your Magazine Cover Poll, I don’t really think it’s fair on the other bands and the albums that are lower down are much more worthy of a win. I know I’m posting this a lot but I don’t see any discounted votes and Toxicity or Vol. 3 are much more deserving of this award, come on MH do something about it.

Well, I think my favourite bands ARE getting the majority of the support, but there seems to be a huuuge bias in the voting towards HIM, more then any other band, including over such popular bands in Metal Hammer as MfH and Metallica… doesn’t that strike you as odd? Not just that, but in both of the last two polls HIM have won, they seemed to be nowhere near the top, but then one day, you could come online and see that there is suddenly an additional 6k votes overnight storimg it way ahead of anyone else… don’t you think that’s a little strange? And it can’t be the regular visitors to this site, as looking at any other article that is related to HIM usually comes with a barrage of “urgh! fuck off HIM!” I don’t have a problem with HIM, but you have to see that there is flooding of the polls here.

Not only the best album of the naughties but the best and freshest band to have broken the international frontier in the last decade and have proven themselves time and time again. The Naughties definitely belong to HIM…. hands down.

I agree with what Emma and marxial said. because their fans care. Simple as that.

When they get mentioned in a poll or something like that, HIM fans give the links to other fans that might not be aware of the polls and put up the links in message boards/forums/fansite/twitter, etc.

Nothings wrong with that. Now, where are the fans of the other more popular bands?? show your bands that you care. Do the same thing with posting the links EVERYWHERE but if the fans ignore it and don’t vote then it’s their problem. Means they don’t give a eff about these polls.

HIM has a huge DEVOTED fan base.

I’m also amazed HIM has more votes than say, Metallica! seriously now?

Although I’m a HUGE & devoted HIM fan, I didn’t vote for them… I hate Dark Light. It’s definitely NOT MY album of the decade. That album never get playtime on my iTunes/iPod it gets skipped So I voted for HEAVEN AND HELL \m/ Dio and his big epic voice! that albums kicks ALL (for me. My opinion)

The reason for the HIM voting is because if a fan from their forum sees the polls they link the webpage to the forum therefore advertising it to the fans.

Does it really matter any way? Obviously its nice when you see your favourite bands beating bands that you dont really like but its a poll nothing to get worked up over!

Also, as far as HIM go, I think they DO deserve winning this. Yes, I’m a fan of NIN & normally would vote for them. BUT! Dark Light IS an important album for HIM- making them the first Finnish band to achieve Gold status in the United States. I think that’s a big accomplishment. If you don’t like it, who cares? Obviously HIM fans care enough to vote for HIM.

…And…last I knew, ALL fans of any band have the right to vote for whomever they wish in this poll. Even if that means HIM fans voting for HIM & leaving the other bands in the dust.;)

Bitter much? instead of bitching and moaning like a bunch of fucks try and change the poll by getting fans you know to vote, im sure HIM decided taht the metal hammer polls were worth all their concentration on winning! rather see HIM up there than the Darkness or Lacuna Coil

it’s another question that there are a lot of HIM communities linked with one another and once the number starts falling down the people go to catch up and that’s normal. i’d be glad to know if HIM won this contest cuz they deserve it no matter what stupid labelling blockheads weep around
