Infectious Grooves Reunite For Metallica Festival
Metallica have confirmed that bassist Robert Trujillo’s old band Infectious Grooves will reunite at this year’s Orion Music + More Festival.
It’s the first time in 22 years he’ll have performed alongside Mike Muir and Dean Pleasants (both Suicidal Tendencies) and Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction). Special guest for the show will be ex-Faith No More guitarist Jim Martin, who appears in place of Adam Siegel.
Trujillo, who co-founded the band during his own stint with Suicidal Tendencies, says: “To reunite with those guys is going to be really special for me. Orion is the perfect place for that to happen – I’m looking forward to it.”
Orion Music + More will feature more than 30 bands across five stages, including Metallica (of course), the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rise Against and Deftones. Other attractions include James Hetfield’s Custom Car And Motorcycle Show, Kirk Hammett’d Crypt, Lars Ulrich’s Hit The Lights Film Tent and Trujillo’s Vans Vert Ramp plus the Metallica Museum.
It takes place during June 8-9 at Belle Isle, Detroit, Michigan. Find out more – and check out Infectious Grooves below.
