Iron Maiden: “There Are Eight Songs Written”

Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain has revealed some details about the next Iron Maiden album
On January 1, Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain spoke to VH1 Classic saying that the band are all set to go into the studio in two weeks to begin work on the next album.
Presenter Eddie Trunk cites Nicko as saying “there was about eight songs written so far so the band would probably need to come up with a few more new songs while recording. [He added that] the material was a little different than past albums and they were taking their time with the recording schedule.”
McBrain also stated that the “new CD probably won’t come out until 2011,” according to Trunk.

There’ll be a single release to coincide with Sonisphere and I reckon on a late autumn album release. Nicko has spoken before about album releases and something different usually happens.

Keep patient, it takes time for a masterpiece, and besides, they just got done doing a very long tour.
