Iron Maiden US Tour On The Way?
It would appear that the legendary metallers are set to embark upon a new US tour!
A cryptic posting has been revealed on Iron Maiden’s official site with some pretty gnarly artwork being partially revealed.
The picture below has been posted on Maiden’s official site. We’re almost as excited to see the artwork as we are to find out the dates themselves!
Also worth mentioning is that the press release we received came with the slogan ‘The beast awakens…across the water’. What could this allude to? Will this be the first dates on Iron maiden’s world tour? Could it be something to do with the artwork? Maybe even a hint at the name of the new Maiden album?

Soo their going to be touring soon, that means theres not much point going to sonisphere as they’re the main point as to why I’d choose them over download ^-^

@tambam sonisphere is supposed to be their only uk show this year, so we could be waiting at least a year for a full uk tour. and even if they were touring soon, its worth seeing them on tour AND at sonisphere!

No doubt they’ll have great support bands in the US, but we’ll get crap openers like avenged sevenfold again. Why don’t Maiden get someone like Paradise Lost or the Answer to open in the UK?

Last time I seen maiden they played the whole of the new album…. as good an album as it was, my mates felt a bit robbed because they didnt get to hear some of the classics I had heard on the death on the road tour.
So I hope to fuck they dont do that again, on the other hand Brave new world is 10 year old this year, if they played that in full a change of shorts would be in order!

Just because Iron Maiden are looking likely to announce a US tour, it doesnt neccesarily mean the dates will be this year.
Maiden have said that Sonisphere will be their only UK show of 2010, which I believe they will stand by. The North American dates are more likely to be either winter 2010 or early 2011.
The only other thought would be that Maiden are organizing an Ozzfest style festival across the pond (Ed-fest maybe?!) to kick Sharon’s ass.

I hope that artwork isn’t the album cover… It’ll be Danth of Death all over again! Derek Riggs is the man for the job!
a lot of times Maiden announce a one off UK date, then after whatever summer festival they play, they then announce a uk tour for December.
That may happen this year.
Sometimes it’s great to be old and cynical.

It would be wrong to say US tour while on that image clearly says NORTH AMERICA…don’t exclude Canada….I’m sure they will come if they tour the US….and for opening acts…they should bring old school like Morbid Angel, Carcass. Saxon or Obituary…..that’s be awesome
over rated madien. seen them 3times and meah, prity much the same. dnt get me wrong there good but i dont get the hype of them.
Maiden overrated? I’ve seen them 12 times and in terms of musicianship, quality of songs and stage show they’re the best live band by a mile. They’re one of the few bands who do live up to their hype and they always deliver live.
Totally agree, ive seen countless live acts and none come close to maiden, simply the finest metal/rock outfit to grace this plantet.
