Israel Metallica Fans Drop Boycott
With the intervention of the band themselves, Metallica’s Israeli concert will now go on sale with a price that won’t require you to sell your soul to Satan to get in.
Congratulations to the 6,000 Israeli metalheads who joined a Facebook campaign to drop the extortionate priced tickets for Metallica’s May 22nd show at the Ramat Gan Stadium in Tel Aviv.
Tomer Mussman and Rotem Horovitz (the guys behind this Facebook group) have released the following update on the matter:
“Friends, I’m shaking with excitement as I’m writing this.
“After a four-day campaign, tens of news items about us worldwide, over 6,000 supporters and numerous media interviews, we can say that we did it! We won!
“This afternoon, Or and Tomer Mussman met with Mr. Gad Oron, the promoter’s representative, and reached an agreement about a significant drop in ticket prices.
“We would like to personally thank Metallica and their management for directly helping us with reaching our goal and reducing the prices.
“We are officially asking each and every one of you to stop the boycott, and come and enjoy Metallica’s concert with us on May 22.
“We want to thank each and every one of you who made their contribution to our successful campaign by joining, signing the petition, or sending links from and to the media everywhere and helping our voice to be heard and echo all around the world.
“We want to thank the producers, Metallica members and management who were willing to talk to us.”

think we need to get one organised for aerosmith. standing tickets at the 02 aerna are 95 quid!!
bit different for these israelis.. they were going to be paying over £200 man, thats insane
I’m with you on that one Dawz1 lol…
I’m geniuenly suprised at this, makes you wonder though….. if they could sway the price down, why not just do that in the first place?
Typical!!!! Miserable Jews!!!!!!!!
probably because until Metallica got involved the thieving bastards didnt want to drop the ticket prices. although i think its good that Metallica stepped in to control the problem before it got out of hand.
It’s only because of these dudes’ campaign that the Metallikatz got to hear about the ticket prices. Band members have no knowledge or interest in ticket prices so totally pointless to criticise musicians. They get their fee and that’s their only concern…AS IT SHOULD BE, after all, commercial music is merely another PRODUCT of capitalist society and the relative freedom it brings.
OH my god!? Metallica aren’t greedy capitalists!? Who’d have thought it!?
Big two fingers up to their haters.
Classy move by band and management
Any idea on how much the ticket prices are now after the boycott?
£199
and what the fuck do you mean my comment was a bit too short?! Stupid website.
That’s great, and it’s nice that the band themselves have taken action and not just the gig managers.
Goes to show facebook isnt full of dribbling teenage fuck wits with more hair gel than brain cells. Kudos to these guys and The Rage Against the X-Factor group.
Congratulations to the Isreali fans, enjoy the show!
Prices now are around 175 GBP for the VIP zone
85 GBP for the standing places on the ground.
60 GBP for the stadium seats.
i am from israel and i really wanted to go to that show! and the price is lower only for the first two weeks of the sale! 125$ it’s still alot of money that i – as a working student can’t pay! so i can’t go! and metallica was the first metal band i ever heared….. and a band like metallica dosn’t come yo israel that often…. last time they were here i was 8 years old! ho yeah and for ” chick mcdonald” – i want to know if you would pay 225$ for a ticket for a medium standing place and be fine with it! and your message was really mean and hurtfull !
