Kerry King: “Our New Album Is Awesome!”
Never one to mix his words, Kerry King gets straight to the point on the new Slayer album, ‘World Painted Blood’.
Speaking to Metal Hammer, Slayer’s legendary axeman says: “I think our new album is awesome, and I wouldn’t say that if I thought it was crappy. ”
Continuing to speak about the band’s forthcoming 10th studio album, King says: “It sounds kind of retro. We didn’t have five years to mull over the songs to make them too streamlined. In a period of six to eight weeks I came up with six songs, which is very old school – like cramming for an exam!”

2004 – slayer,slipknot
2006 – slayer, LOG, bodom etc.
2008 – slayer, trivium, amon amarth, mastodon
was there a 2005 and 2007 unholy alliance? don’t think there was
