Caught Soil at the Shinedown gig at the Forum on Wednesday. Long time Soil fan but this was the first time I got to see them live. Outstanding. AJ Cavalier is a great frontman but have to agree that the new album is a little weaker than previous efforts.

What’s really a shame is that Soil was good with Ryan, Drowning Pool was good without him, and now Soil suck without him, and Drowning Pool suck with him.

They were pretty cool at Sonisphere though.

Power ballad- tastic. There’s some good music in here, but not all for the fist-pumping metal fan or the fan of the pre- Cavalier Soil. It’s a shame, there was a better chance that I would have bought this album before listening to it. And I very rarely listen to a band’s music before picking up the album, as the surprise is half the fun. But the most fun I got from this album was that it didn’t cost me 11 bucks to be disappointed.

How the mighty have fallen. SOiL were fucking awesome with Ryan McComb. Saw them with Drowning Pool and Damageplan (RIP Dime) and it was a great night.

They are now supporting Kittie?!?!?!?!?! What a fuck up
