and why would we care?
Because they covered a Machine Head song.
thats about as much credibility they can get, it was a terrible cover anyway.
This isnt being narrowminded, and liking one kind of music, but these guys dont really push boundaries of music, and seem pretty boring live.

Move along.

Michael

M just because you don’t like them doesn’t mean other people don’t. I come on MetalHammer because I love metal, but I also like lots of other types of Rock. People have varied tastes, so some people here might like Lostprophets, like me.

i like them and saw them for the first time sunday and there not as amazing as some other mags make them out to be! the best band of weekend was deftones by miles

Jason Freeman

To be fair on Sunday they were a man down for the majority of the set and Ian’s throat was f*****d up so they were never going to be as brilliant as they normally are.
Lostprophets might not be the ‘heavy’ band some of you used to like but it’s undeniable that they are one of the biggest rock acts in the UK.

I love Lostprophets, but granted they weren’t at their best on Sunday. AFI stole the show on Sunday. However, dawz1 I thought Deftones were quite disappointing…and if you think they were the best band by miles, you obviously didn’t see Them Crooked Vultures! They tore that place up!

Michael I love all kinds of music genres (mostly metal admittedly) but I still think the Lost Prophets are FUCKING TERRIBLE !!!!!!

Luke (x)

as long as the new album sounds like the Fake Sound of Progress, ill be happy. if sounds like the other 2 albums i wont be happy and i wont be buying this album either.

Jason Freeman

How will you know what the album sounds like if your not going to get it?

I saw them last week in wolverhampton and they were pretty shocking, the sound was terrible from where I was. To be fair to them its the first time I’ve seen them play a bad show but sorry Luke, the 3 new songs they played were nothing like The Fake Sound Of Progress :0(

ForeignVoice

They’ve come a long way since Fake Sound, but personally I miss everything about that era Prophets. However, good band, good albums and I haven’t seen them live since the ‘Start Something’ tour, which was actually pretty good.

This band are a joke in S Wales. This isn’t even news.
