Machine Head Are Back On Sonisphere!
Reports are signalling that Machine Head will be at Knebworth this weekend! Get your Sonisphere tickets here!
In one of the stories of the summer, Machine Head pulled out of this year’s Sonisphere festival after a dispute with the festival’s organizers but it appears that everyone has kissed and made-up and that Machine head WILL appear at Sonisphere this Sunday!
We speculated that this would be the case on Monday but Blabbermouth are certain that Machine Head will be the secret guests.
What do you make of this? We’re of the opinion that water can pass under the bridge and we’re all looking forward to throwing down to ‘Ten Ton Hammer’ (if they play it, of course. Not that we’d try to sway their setlist choices, of course. *ahem*).
Sonisphere will be headlined by Metallica and Linkin Park and will take place on August 1st – 2nd at Knebworth. Also on the bill will be Heaven & Hell, Nine Inch Nails, Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb Of God, Alice In Chains, Mastodon, Anthrax, Airbourne, Corey Taylor and Killing Joke.

Well well, perhaps Sonisphere hasn’t gone entirely down the shitter then.
FRAKK YEAAAAAAAAHHHH
I’m still not believing. This whole affair is causing me strife! I need proof. get robb on the phone.
Talk about makin’ my day!
looks like they heard the ‘hammer podcast and took up the idea of going out and destroying durst instead of hiding away in the corner
To be honest if i know machine head as well as i think i do as a band, they won’t hold a grudge against Limp Bizkit (probably because Bizkit are actually a fucking good band) and also because it wasn’t limp bizkit’s fault the festival organiser is a tool. Hope you all have a great weekend, I am not going however
I think this is the best overall outcome for all concerned, though if I was Machine Head I wouldn’t take compromising what they originally stood for so easily
I’m disappointed. I was pissed off that they let everyone down and pulled out but I was hoping that someone else was taking the slot. I love Machine Head, have since I first saw them at Donington in ‘95, but the last 4 times I’ve seen them, they’ve been progressively worse. Worse sound, worse attitude, worse performance and worse setlist. Personally, I hope this isn’t true and we get Down instead.
Brilliant stuff. As much as I applaud them for standing by their morals, the only ones getting screwed were the fans.
Maybe this means bizkit wont get half of knebworth thrown at them!
so my swearing paid off then
A big WWOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! (while pulling the classic Robb Flynn shitting yourself face)
plzplzplzplz
Good news. I mean, I’d be pissed off if Fred Durst was playing after my band and I wasn’t told about it, but their cancellation seemed a bit immature to me. It’s still a pretty great lineup and they should be happy to be a part of it.
Hope this is true. Though if it is there will be a huge uproar from all those who sold tickets when Machine Head pulled out…
machine fucking head \m/
well the worst publicity stunt ever seems to have paid off
