Tensions boil over at Sonisphere!
The war of words between Machine Head and Limp Bizkit kicked into overdrive this weekend over the band’s appearances at Sonisphere.
After Machine Head had been bumped down the line-up for the reunited Limp Bizkit, MH frontman Robb Flynn posted the following message on the official Machine Head message board ‘The Frontlines’: “We’re going to fucking CRUSH LIMP BIZKIT!!!!”
After the bands performances (read reviews of both bands here), Blabbermouthreport that Limp Bizkit’s DJ Lethal (who sported a Machine Head shirt for the band’s set) posted the following on his Facebook profile: ”Just finished playing at Sonisphere festival in London with NIN and Metallica… As for (Machine Head), hahaha, the only thing crushed was your egos. lol… Suck it!!!!”
DJ Lethal went on to comment, “I am a fan [of Machine Head] too; they just got pissy about some promoter stuff then got personal… I even wore a MH shirt on stage . . . They still played after crying about the whole thing. We would have gladly played before them; no big deal. But whaa whaa whaaaaaa…”
Last but not least, Rob Flynn then responded to DJ Lethal’s above comments by saying: ”Just played Sonisphere [festival at] Knebworth [in United Kingdom]. HOLY SHIT!!!!!! Fucking UN-BELIEVE-ABLE!!!!!!!
“DJ Lethal from Limp Bizkit’s response to my comment about how we were going to CRUSH them was hilarious. He said, ‘The only thing crushed was our egos.’ Hahahaha!! Apparently he forgot to mention the ‘unprompted’ three-minute-long ‘FUCK LIMP BIZKIT’ chant today [during Machine Head's set] from all 45,000 people at Sonisphere. Yeah!

Robb Flynn is acting like a thirteen-year-old after her first break up.
Limp Bizkit owned Machine Head. Wes Borland and Fred slaugtered them and embarressed them. Lethal from LB even wore a MH shirt on stage.
Of course there were haters in the crowd of both bands but the majority were there for LB and they put on a better and more energetic show.

Not only that but Rob feels the need to make shit up as well. The only people who chanted ‘Fuck Limp Bizkit’ were at the VERY front, because NO ONE was chanting that where I was stood towards the front left, and no one was chanting ‘Machine Fuckin’ Head’ through Limp Bizkit either. Amazing how the older he gets (he looked really old yesterday) the more childish he’s becoming.
Hasn’t everyone had the Limp Bizkit war…Slipknot, Zakk Wylde…. It was bound to be Machine Head’s turn sooner or later.

Everyone was chanting limp bizkit for there whole set, never one chant about them sucking or MH, they had one of the biggest crowd pumping set overall.
In contrast they were a lot better than MH and the only time they got the slightest hint of a boo was when they ripped into MH for pulling out…
MH were never in it for the fans, MH dont care about there fans, LB would have switched spots if need be because Fred Fuckin Durst is only there for one thing, HIS FANS.
Don’t see how people could defend limp bizkit over machine head. IMO limp bizkit are just a big joke, and the reunion is an even bigger one. Machine head put on an amazing show, limp bizkit however didn’t, and thats not fanboyism for machine head, thats me just saying that LB were shit.

I used to like Machine Head but since their pretty average performance at Sonisphere and their constant whining over virtually nothing, I think they’re no better than Girls Aloud! Oh and I was just to the right of the stage and noone was shouting fuck Limp Bizkit, in fact their was a mini fuck Machine fucking Head chant!
I was to the right of Machine Head too, I would hardly call it average but they didn’t top Download in 2007. No Aesthetics of Hate so…Although there were these people launching themselves off a guy on the floors back in the middle of a circle pit into the crowd towards the end which was one of the best thing i’ve ever seen, especially the massive guy who landed on the tiny girl (who looked dazed after it but then gave a cheer!) and the guy who landed head first on the ground.
But seriously, this is the worst feud ever. Didn’t hear any Fuck Limp Bizkit chants during Machine Heads set, and no Machine Fucking Head chants during Limp Bizkits. Although there were Machine Fucking Head chants during Lamb of God. Who kicked both their asses.
No fan of LB but reading the quotes above, I reckon DJ Lethal would be the better bloke to have a pint with. The Machine Head chump sounds like he’s not old enough to buy alcohol. Pathetic.
I am surprised people didn’t hear the Fck Limp Bizkit chants, they were very loud indeed where I was and broke out at least 3 times.
Oh and on the day I would say Machine Head were better, although I am bias.

I was at the front and people chanted fuck Limp Bizkit several times just to make MH feel welcomed of course. I did not hear anyone screaming MFH during Limp Bizkit set. I think MH were awesome and I think did very well and everyone were so happy to see them there, that’s why we all went crazy! I do think it’s very childish behavior from MH side, but they did turn up and this is because the fans wanted them there because of complaints not because of politics or Limp Bizkit.
