Machine Head Looking Forward To Recording Follow-up To ‘The Blackening’

Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn has confirmed that the band have begun writing the follow-up to 2007’s epic, ‘The Blackening’.
“We just had three months off, which was the first big break we’ve had for this album,” Flynn told About.com. “We took those three months off and started writing a little bit at the end. I totally got the bug. ‘The Blackening’ cycle has been such an amazing moment for the band, and it was cool to say we’re moving on from this. When we started writing it was on to bigger and better things. As much as this moment meant, it’s cool to see what we can accomplish next. I’m super-excited about writing this new record.”
As far as a producer is concerned, Flynn said: “I don’t know. We haven’t discussed it. I know that they are happy with the production and I’m happy with the production. I’m not set in the idea that I’m doing it, but I know everybody’s had a good experience with it.”
Machine Head will hit the UK and Ireland to wrap up the touring for The Blackening with their Black Procession (also featuring Hatebreed, Bleeding Through and All Shall Perish). Get Machine Head tickets here!

About time but how long will this album take am sick to my back teeth of the blackening the only reason am going to the glasgow date is for hatebreed and the promise of some old MH classics hoping for bay of pigs and ten ton hammer
. Am hoping the new album is more in the vein of Through The Ashes as that is one of my fav albums of the decade
