Machinehead should have been at Download-There’s no two ways about it! I went to Download, and also have tickets for Sonisphere-I was REALLY looking forward to seeing Machinehead,and am SO pissed off about this!Do they realise that single mothers, like myself, have spent a fortune on tickets, to see one of their favourite bands (Machinehead)only to be told that they are not playing anymore?!!!Do Machinehead even care about their fans?Because if they did,then their fans, who spent money on tickets to see them,would/should have been first on their mind.After all, the members of Machinehead would have NOTHING without their fans!!!!Im not blowing the situation up, but it would be honest of me to say that I only bought the Sonisphere tickets to see Machinehead.I also bought my Download ticket in January,a long time b4 the full line-up was out-I prayed that they would be announced,but weren’t.Fair dues-Download can be let slide-I took the gamble, but NOT Sonisphere….No Way!

Machine Head are being pussies. Fucking pathetic pussies. They should play this festival for their fans, I know I would in their situation.

I think that Sonisphere should give up and fuck off. Donnington is, and will always be, the spiritual home of rock and metal music.

This story sickens me. I am a big Machine Head fan but it seems to me that Robb Flynn is acting like a baby and throwing his toys out of his gold plated pram.
How about that Machine Head go onstage before Limp Bizkit and blow them off the stage? Or how about the play the second stage and draw the fans away from Limp Bizkit altogether?
OR how about they spend the time that they WON’T be playing Sonisphere to write a new album? ‘The Blackening’ was an genre defining album, but isn’t it about time they proved that it wasn’t a lucky shot? Since it was released ‘The Blackening’ has been usurped by the likes of Lamb of God’s ‘Wrath’ and even Steel Panthers ‘Feel The Steel’(!).
Seriously Robb, stop fucking about and play the gig.

Had to fuckin endure 5 minutes of Limp Bizkit while I was making my way to see Voivod at Download. I was horrorified to find out the other day that the wankers had been added to Sonisphere. Then to add shit inducing insult to the injury, its at the expense of Machine Head. One bottle of warm piss with Fred Durst’s name on coming right up. What a gobshite !!!
