This has been the longest tour ever. I bought The Blackening nearly 3 years ago and they are still touring the bloody thing! I mean its an amazing album but some new material would be very welcome. I mean Devildriver manage to tour like trojans and are still releasing a new album only a year after the last one and you know it will be killer. Come on Robb pull your finger out

i think MH are just milking the attention now. its time to make a new album not tour.

Not to get involved in what the band think is right for them but they need to take a break, sort out their problems, live life normaly for a bit, get some inspiration and then go into the studio to write some new material. Still, Will be going to see them as soon as they hit Ye Olde LOndon Town…

Woodhouse

At this rate they’ll still be around for the festivals..YAY

@Luke, if they r getting asked to do the tours their not gonna turn them down, isn’t that the sign of a good band? plus i think they want to make the next album that bit more epic than the blackening and i think they can do it.

@eamzo, i agree with Mike. they need to stop touring. live a little bit then think up the awesome next album and work hard on it. eventually a huge amount of touring can wreck a band and any material produced during the tours. i mean look at Metallica. they spent 5/6 years touring the black album and then they release Load/Reload on us. do you want that to happen to MH. i dont. a break would be good for the band plus a lot of the fans are starting to get tired of hearing the same songs over and over.

Luke is right.

They haven’t even started writing new material yet, i read a Phil Demmel interview.

We probably won’t get an album until 2012

it took black sabbath 1 day to write their 1st album; ok so things were diferent back then but god! why has it taken so long for a new Machine Head Album?!
