Check out the artwork for ‘Crack The Skye’ inside!
Mastodon have not only made the first track available from their new album ‘Crack The Skye’, they’ve also unveiled the album’s artwork which you can see below.
Mastodon have also confirmed that they have contributed a ZZ Top cover to a forthcoming compilation on Warner Records and that they will also have a track featured on ‘Guitar Hero: Metallica’.

Isn’t that just a cast off from Priests’ Nostradamus?
Stunning as always, though my favourite cover is still ‘Leviathan’.
That’s pretty classy.
Nostradamus? Hardly. The artist, Paul Romano, is one of the better artist in music today. He has done artwork for all of the Mastodon records beginning with Remission, he as also worked with the Acacia Strain, Trivium, Withered, Hate Eternal, and many more. Look him up. I love all of it.
- I believe it is supposed to be RASPUTIN (full name Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin) depicted on Mastodon’s new recording.
- Ozzy was supposed to do a musical on the guy.
- He’s also the man on the cover of Type O Negative’s “Dead Again”.
- I recommend reading up on the dude. He’s a trip!
