Metal Hammer Gets Pist.Back.On
In a recent interview with Metal Hammer, bassist Val Ium expressed her concern that the future of the band was in doubt because rhythm guitarist / vocalist Henry Font had stopped returning her calls and e-mails. However after reading the article Henry dropped the ‘Hammer a line to let fans know that he has no intentions in quitting now!
“I’m sorry that I can’t respond to any of you through e-mails right now, but, I no longer have a computer,” Henry said in his letter. “I hope to be back online soon, though. I want to thank you all for the kind words that I have received through the letters and e-mails that Val has sent to me. The fact that you give a shit about my music and me means everything to me.
“There are certain things in my life that I need to address that I will overcome and I intend to return to the band and record a new album in the near future. I am writing new songs, that, hopefully, I will feel well enough to record at some point in the New Year. It has been a very tough year and a half for myself and for the rest of the band and it’s kind of brought me down to a really bad stage in my life. My current situation made me attempt to disappear from the human race for the past three months.
“Unfortunately it’s consumed too much of my life and just made me not want to have any involvement in music whatsoever. The truth is, however, that I can’t live without music and I can’t stand not being able to perform for people who care and for the fans that has supported us throughout the years. I am just now beginning to work out my problems, which have brought me to this point of having to write about it to you. It is something I am not proud of and something I feel has nearly defeated me. But, now I feel more confident that I am battling it and I intend to bring Pist.On the band, the music, back to life once again. Again I would like to thank you all for the kind thoughts and words of encouragement, which have given me the inspiration to continue something I know is important to other people besides me. I love you all and I hope to meet all of you again soon – on tour!”
