I caught the first hour of this and it was the first time I’d had a chance to listen to the show. Some of it was brill- I like the heavy stuff really but appreciate others like other stuff and you need to play it.
It was great to hear a proper Cockney accent on the airwaves Beez as I also never pronounce t’s and my th’s are f’s. I used to try but why?-do Scots try and cover up their non-BBC accents, do Northerners, Brummies, etc-NO THEY FUCKING DO NOT! So why do we?
At work they think and say even (including Aussies!) ‘cos I come from the East End I must know all about robbing and stuff like that- so there is a stereotyping going on with the accent- and its ‘cos of the media. So carry on Beez with your special London Regional Accent and lets have more of it- and Gill you can get lessons to change your posh accent if you want!
