i heard a rumour a while ago that metallica are contracted to sonisphere for 3 years but i don’t know how likely that is. great band but wouldnt want to see them at the same festival every year. might also just be some of the european versions of it. personally i think they’ll be at download, they’re in europe around that time so it makes sense

About time. Everyone else stay in your own cities/countries and wait for them to come to you. Metallica haven’t played Belfast in more years than I care to remember. It seems the current trend to play Glasgow, Manchester and London and call it a UK tour. Or even just play Dublin and expect everyone from Northern Ireland to be satisfied with that too. We Northern Irish and voiced are disconcern about this and finally someone is paying attention. More bands to do the same please.

20 years!! 20 fookin’ years we have waited for this! Sick & tired of trekking down to Dublin, paying £5 for a pint of watered down excuse for beer , paying over the odds for merchandise & parking, standing in a field & watching the video screens then the joy of a 2.5 hour journey home.
Yeehaah! Metallica are coming to Norn Irn!!!!!!! Got my ticket for the 1st show this morning & I can’t wait! Slayer, Testament, Maiden – take note! The Odyssey is a better venue than the O2, so come up North, and make us Northern Ireland metal fans happy.

As much as I love travelling to Dublin & Belfast, a Scottish visit to either Aberdeen, Inverness or Edinburgh would be excellent next year and sold out as usual within 5 seconds ! Just come back to Scotland please M !!
