Metallica cancel show: Hetfield hospitalised

Singer taken to hospital moments before Stockholm performance…
Metallica were forced to cancel their Stockholm show last night (March 8th) after frontman James Hetfield was taken to hospital just before they were due to perform. 16,000 fans were already inside the huge Globe Arena for the show. The band had to annuounce that the gig was off.
Lars Ulrich told the audience. “Trust me, none of you guys wanna hear me, Rob or Kirk sing.”
It has been reported that Hetfield was suffering from a stomach bug and dehydration and is now back in the US.

James got food poisoning apparently and should be well enough to start the UK tour at the end of the month \m/

great show last week guys thanks once again i hope jamez gets gets better soon and back on the road to please more crowds like you you did for me .i had a bit of a panic atack before hand but metallica yet agian came up tops and helped me out . Speaking as a former Metallica fan, I wish James a speedy recovery and hopefully a make-up date will be in order. I know how much it sucks when a show you’ve looked forward to for a long time is cancelled.
Apparently they are going to come back and play this gig again. So that’s cool.
Sad for the fans who already sat and waited, but the good thing is that might be back in May already, and the tickets bought for this show are valid for upcoming show. And if in may, it might be outside. Greater.
