Those are 2 bloody good lists actually, apart from Kasabian, very diverse. You don’t just have to listen exclusively to metal people, it is okay to listen to other genres.

Why are people shocked?! Just because they make “heavy music” doesn’t mean they don’t or can’t listen to other types of music.

That’s pretty stupid, really, to only listen to one genre of music.

You get influenced by many things in life..dare I say rap music too (er..?). Classical music for, example influenced many “mealheads” and it sounds nothing like the music they create. Reggae too is very influential.

Now all the ‘tallica fans will weep because their gods listens to Eminem. And the haters will use this to prove (??!) that the Metallica guys “are shit”. Grow up.

surely its up to lars and kirk what they like, just because they dont listen to YOUR music taste, doesnt mean their opinion is invalid or rubbish.

its good to have variety in your music taste, its pretty ignorant not too.
the guys in metallica are in their 40s, of course their going to like other stuff too.

so what if Kirk likes Sigur Ros, have most the people slating them here even listened to it?! its actualy great chill out/ relaxing music if your open minded and remember metal isnt the one and ONLY genre on the planet.
