Music Journalists Arrested In Iran
Outrageous scenes in Iran, where two music journalists have been captured and imprisoned for no good reason.
Metal Hammer is shocked to report that music journalists Behrang Tonekaboni and Kayvan Farzin have been detained by Iranian authorities and absolutely no reason has been given for their arrest.
Behrang’s mother Lily Farhadpour, a journalist and a member of Iranian NGO Mothers for Peace, was also arrested while at home on January 20th.
Amnesty International state that “all three appear to have been subjected to enforced disappearance and are at risk of torture”.
Amnesty International is now insisting that the Iranian government explain the reasoning behind these arrests, where the the three prisoners are being held and assurance that fair treatment will be applied.

I have a friend who escaped from iran and he’s told me a lot of scary stuff that goes on there including public executions among other things.
Basically the place is like george Orwells 1984 but with religious zealots running it.

My Aunt was imprisoned and tortured there for nine years for being a political activist, this sort of thing happens all the time.
