i’ve gotta say that Endgame is far more to Form for megadeth than death magnetic is to Metallica. I remember reading a Blog by metal Hammer about Metallica vs megadeth. there was one comment that stuck in my head about Kirk Hammett….that if he tried to play Tornado of Souls, his wrists would break, and i agree. Kirk Hammett is far too over-rated. Tqake the metontour.com website for example. It shows you video’s of shows they’ve played, and when kirk comes to do a solo, he has to be at his wah pedal, wankin on his guitar, i can’t remember the last time Kirk actually played a solo the way he wrote it, the way the fans wanna hear it. I think both these albums got full marks, though most people in general will say “death magnetic” is better, just because it’s metallica. What a load of bollocks. Go back to 2004, when i read Kerrang when The System Has Failed came out. the thing is metallica still try to maintain they’re a credible metal band and rock as hard as in the 80s but they dont. they’re very different and theyll never be able to recreate real good thrash again IMO (not to say DM is that bad). obviously Cliff and mustaine must have been the real thrashers and urlcih/hetfield couldnt do it by themselves.

This is an album where I have finally been able to sit down and enjoy the shit out of it, bang my head and just get lost in it instead of thinking “Well this is a step in the right direction, I hope the next one is better”.

Kind of funny seeing all these ‘tallica fan boys crying and saying this and that. Most of them are illiterate and can’t read a simple quote. And some are still in denial that DM was mediocre at best. Come on, a lot of the songs were WAY too long and repetitive. Had to try not to doze off listening to worn out riffs and solos.

I think anyone who has an open mind, and likes metal would honestly say Endgame is a better album than DM. All of you have to stop bashing each ofth these bands, they are both iconic amazing artists. Dave AND James have gone on the record saying how much they respect each other and thier amazing musical talents, and dave JUST SAID that he knows metallica has albums better than what he’s put out. any person in thier right mind knows what each of these bands have done. yes, metallica what they did in the mid to late 80’s was something that cant really be done again. and yes, what megadeth has done with this most recent album is just stellar, to prove that at whatever age, this kind of music is still relevant. Congrats to both bands and great recent albums, but im sorry… especially the production is better on Endgame

Heard the Metallica release once, still the same junk being made since the Black Album. It’s just radio junk for the mass of clueless “junior semi-metal” weenies. And I heard Metallica live BEFORE the released “Kill ‘em All.” A real down slide.

I am a huge fan of Metallica but not so much of Megadeth but Mustaine is right. Endgame is everything Death Magnetic should have been and more!

Endgame is the most creative album since Rust in Peace. Death Magnetic is the most creative since…Load. Endgame has superior musicianship and production. Death Magnetic? Endgame is approved by Bruce Dickinson and Slash. Death Magnetic is approved by ignorant fanboys and biased magazines. Seriously be realistic. Endgame has a superior thrash sound and 100% contribution from every instrument. Megadeth, Kreator, and Slayer take the cake for newest thrash albums.

Death magnetic is the musical version of erectial dysfunction. Metallica have never come closer to being an aor kiss alike band. i am so dissapointed with how truly bad it was. I also can”t belive that people are saying stuff like “they”ve gone back to the old shit” or ” hey at least they”re trying to thrash out again”. no one should say that about them, they shouldN’ try for anything why can’t they just do it. at least megadeth can still play there instruments in a correct manner.

Endgame represents some of the worst songwriting I have heard in a long time; guitar masturbation, ridicules lyrics, horrible vocal lines, uninteresting riffs and solos.
Atleast Death Magnetic had “hooks” and grabs you with good melodies.

it’s kinda sad how the megasheep are so insecure about megadeth’s place in history that having 10 or so people from the megadeth forum vote hundreds if not THOUSANDS of times apiece in an obscure internet poll gives them some kind of vindication in the whole metallica/megadeth thing. Both albums are good, Endgame has awesome heavy songs with impressive guitar solos while death magnetic has good vocals, better lyrics and has some heavy songs.

Donde esta la emocion! Death Magnetic si bien no es de lo mejor de metallica pero por lo menos mantiene la garra durante todo el disco…un saludo a todos y espero no ofender a nadie con mi opinion pero trato de ser lo mas honesto posible y objetivo.

endgame does not discredit anything get real, for one death magnetic was a great album. Endgame is one dimensional typical thrash, no range, no harmony, just fast and too much guitar wankery. throwing in 3 guitar solos that do not fit songs does not a great album make, nor does cliche poltical lyrics. just speed, and guita wankery.

megadeths new album end game the guitar work and music is outstanding but daves vocals and lyrics are horrible so overall death magnetic is much better just look at the sales of the two albums death magnetic sold 450,000 its first week end game only sold 45,000 maybe if the lyrics were better it would have sold more about 1 tenth of what metallicas death magnetic sold dont get me wrong i like both bands but i like metallicas death magnetic better i put end game in listened to hit from front to back and havent put it back in my cd player but i put death magnetic in and can listen to it over and over love it
