Find out what’s in the new issue of Metal Hammer inside!

The new issue of Metal Hammer is on shelves now and features our in depth interview with SLASH and AVENGED SEVENFOLD frontman M Shadow as they talk about working together on Slash’s debut solo self-titled album. We also hang out with Aussie pub rockers turned international stars AIRBOURNE as they walk… no run, us through the making of their awesome new album, No Guts No Glory. And Lee Dorrian takes us on a sentimental journey into the heart of CATHEDRAL’S latest album, The Guessing Game.

Erudite mathcore crew, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, address the pressing issues that face bands today – the impending digital apocalypse. DOWN’S Kirk Windstein tells the story of a once side-project that went on to become one of the most revered in rock and metal today. Through the smoke, we interview HIGH ON FIRE to make sense of one of the best future-retro rocking metal albums of the year – and it’s all about reptilian aliens. Hammer bros-down with new hard rock hopefuls TAKING DAWN and chats to a genuinely super group, AUDREY HORNE.

Hammer is also proud to present PLANET METAL, a 16 page mini-mag including bands from around the globe: from China, Iran and India to South America, South Africa and South Korea. The free CD this month includes 15 tracks from 15 amazing bands that you’ve never heard before – this will blow your mind!

KISS’S Paul Stanley tells us his life story, we put LAMB OF GOD in the freezer for the Spanish Inquisition and detail the making of PANTERA’S iconic Vulgar Display Of Power.

Subterranea features a rare interview with BURZUM’S Varg Vikernes as well as SHINING, DECAPITATED, SAINT VITUS and MARDUK.

Also: MAX CAVALERA, DARK TRANQUILLITY, AT THE GATES and Lord Of The Rings star, CHRISTOPHER LEE on his debut metal album!

Also with your copy of Hammer are three posters! CATHEDRAL’S The Guessing Game artwork, MACHINE HEAD’S The Blackening artwork and MERCYFUL FATE.

Slash might not be “METUL!!” but so fucking what?!? hes still one of the best shredders of the 21st century!

Slash can’t shred………..Hermann Lee is the real shredder,or Luca Turilli.

I’d have preferred a full size poster of The Blackening too, I need something new to pin to my dartboard…
