Anthrax is the New York-based thrash band, who released their first full-length album in 1984 and helped to define the trash genre. Anthrax became one of most popular metal bands of the ’80s – and certainly the biggest band to come out of the East Coast thrash scene. The band could boast being a member of what became dubbed the ‘big four’ of thrash metal: Megadeth, Slayer, Metallica, and Anthrax.
