NIN Perform ‘The Downward Spiral’ On Final US Tour
Aren’t you glad that we got that setlist at Sonisphere now?
NIN opened their ‘Wave Goodbye’ tour (reportedly the final 11 dates that NIN will ever play) in New York’s Bowery Ballroom, but at the second date at NY’s Webster Hall, NIN played their 1994 landmark album, ‘The Downward Spiral’, in its entirety.
The band’s setlist at Webster Hall ran:
1. “Mr. Self Destruct”
2. “Piggy”
3. “Heresy”
4. “March of the Pigs”
5. “Closer”
6. “Ruiner”
7. “The Becoming”
8. “I Do Not Want This”
9. “Big Man with a Gun”
10. “A Warm Place”
11. “Eraser”
12. “Reptile”
13. “The Downward Spiral”
14. “Hurt”
15. “1,000,000″
16. “Terrible Lie”
17. “Metal”
18. “Lights In the Sky”
19. “Burn”
20. “Gave Up”
21. “Suck”
22. “Physical”
23. “The Hand That Feeds”
24. “Head Like A Hole”
NIN will play Chicago, Toronto and 4 final dates in Los Angeles, the last of which being at LA’s Echoplex on September 6th.

Thanks for playing like a total of four songs people gave a shit about at Sonisphere, Trent
God damn!
I’d be well disapointed had I gone to Soni, fortunately I saw them in Glasgow in 2007 and the set was well chosen (Y)
But I’d have killed to hear TDS in it’s entirety!
I’m still fucking gutted about Sonisphere. I would say I’m a massive Nine Inch Nails fan and even I didn’t enjoy it. It was insincere, self indulgent and a shit set. Cheers Trent, you cunt.
id rather hear “the fragile” and the b sides with “broken” as the encore
See they didn’t even play closer at the o2 so yea thanks trent! we would of loved to have heard your best album in its entirety to!
Isnt Hurt a bit out of place in the middle of the set?
…just saying.
All I can say is, I’m glad I saw them play a great set at Manchester before the disappointment of Sonisphere. Some way to say “farewell” to your UK fans, Trent!
Die Hard NIN fans are happy with anything they play. The reason he did that setlist was because he was wanted to play a quiet set to piss of the metal fans that were there to see bands like Metallica, LOG, Machine Head.
I’m glad I didn’t see them at Sonisphere now, as I’m a massive fan and luckily my memories of them will be 2 amazing gigs at the Manchester Apollo and THAT performance at Reading 07, possibly one of the greatest festival performances ever. Although it may have seemed even better than it was because of all the rubbish before and a disappointing Smashing Pumpkins afterwards…
