Missed Mew - got, there five minutes late before Janes were due to start, but fortunately Janes were also five minutes late. Luckily we were, sitting right at the front, so got a great view of the bands - went as a Janes fan and though they were great, I was truly blown away by the energy created from the Nin performance. Trent Reznor was going mental, obviously health and safety not at the top of his agenda. I had to laugh, that whilst trying to order the front of house, the front line security needed eyes in the back of the head in order to be mindful of any keyboard stacks being hurled off the stage by the impetuous front man. He also hurled two guitars at speed, the first flung at the back of stage, seemingly in frustration as the second song climaxed! The atmosphere was truly electric and to top it all, an impromptu appearance by Gary Newham, who charmed the 02 with two numbers, the second of course being the sublime 'cars'. Amazing!
