NIN’s Trent Reznor Honored By New York Politicians

trent90Nine Inch Nails frontman, Trent Reznor, received accolades from various members of New Yorks government for his efforts to raise money for Eric De La Cruz who needed a heart transplant.You can watch the presentation below.

The New York senator, Charles Schumer, was among those paying tribute to the singer.

The band raised money during its tour of the US with Jane’s Addiction by selling ticket packages which included a meet and greet with the bands.

The letter were handed to Trent at NIN’s show in New York on June 6th.

Fan Mike Caplice, who handed Trent the letters from the politicians, told Rolling Stone: “I wanted the entire NIN community to see that their efforts have been recognized by all levels of government.”

Tragically Eric passed away on July 4th.
