Nirvana Vs Love Feud To Delay New Boxed Set
The Nirvana estate, which is jointly administered by Grohl, Novoselic and Love, was thrown into turmoil in June of last year when Love launched a legal crusade to gain sole custody of the band’s back catalogue and prevent the pair issuing a commemorative Nirvana boxed set which was set to feature previously unreleased Nirvana demos.
Grohl and Novoselic, who are both outraged that the demos which include the track ‘You Know You’re Right’ may not see the light of day, described the widow Cobain as “a money grabbing prima donna” and that she is “irrational, mercurial, self-centred, unmanageable, inconsistent and unpredictable”. When the duo heard that the case may take as long as twelve months to actually go to court, they further slammed Courtney by saying “she couldn’t care less about Nirvana fans. Our music is just a pawn in her obsessive need for publicity”.
