Nirvana’s Reading Show To Be Released On DVD
Legendary Nirvana performance to receive DVD release.
Nirvana’s historic August 30, 1992 headlining appearance at the UK’s Reading Festival is one of the most bootlegged concerts in the annals of rock’n’roll. Now, fans will have an opportunity to own a pristine copy of that entire performance – with colour-corrected video from the original film with audio sourced from the original multi-track masters.
Nirvana Live At Reading will be issued in a limited edition DVD+CD Deluxe Edition as well as DVD-only, CD-only configurations on November 2, 2009, followed by a 2 LP version on November 16, 2009.

Well I think you could safely state that they were an one of the most Iconic bands from the 90’s, pretty damn good too. Its not their fault they’re ‘over-rated’.
Bee_Gee – no, they’re not. The most overrated band was The Beatles, followed by Rolling Stones and then Nirvana.
Don’t get me wrong, they wrote some good tunes, but they were all on their first album.
Fair call – and I’m actually a big Beatles fan. But yeah, they’re def. overrated.

Had the misfortune to have seen them twice when they toured Nevermind. The most over rated load of bollocks I’ve ever seen in my life, they’re a few hours of my life I’ll never get back and I wasted them watching that toss. Best thing he ever did was blow his head off, it saved the world from having to listen to any more of his self-pitying, spineless drivel. What a gutless wanker.

I’d only argue U2 from that list, because they’ve had some amazing songs and albums.
Hey, Me – I don’t actually mind Nirvana. I can listen to their CDs and think “hmmm, yeah. They were on to something…” but Cobain was a wanker. I play in a band, I’d love to be famous. If he didn’t like being the person he was then he could always piss off and be a plumber. Don’t bitch and whinge about it and then shoot yourself in the head and leave a daughter behind to deal with it. I hate the fact that all these kids these days are now calling him an icon when he was really just a prick. And YES, the two gigs I saw were like pulling teeth, they were rubbish. Nirvana can fuck off, long live Foo Fighters….
Skumbo – in fairness, I don’t hate them but I’m so sick of hearing “how amazing Nevermind was” and seeing Smells Like Teen Spirit at the top of most important song polls. It was the right song at the right time. A year either side of it’s release and it probably would’ve been ignored. I stand by the fact that I think Bleach was their best album.
Don’t get me started on the Foo’s, IMO they’ve done little worth listening to after the 3rd album.
Nirvana were good when Mr Cobain was still fighting for his life in the streets. Period.
