[...] post: Now That’s What I Call… Cover Versions! (Metal Hammer) Published [...]
Sepultura – symptom of the universe
megadeth – paranoid
soulfly – under the sun
Is there a pattern here?
ghostbusters- xentrix
hanging on the telephone- acid reign
bohemian rhapsody- bad news
bring the noise- anthrax
Machine Head-Hallowed Be Thy Name. Immense. Bullet’s Cover of Creeping Death is immense. Band called Stomp 66 I know of done a pretty kick ass cover of Bodies by Drowning Pool
Pantera – Electric Funeral
The fact that Death’s “Painkiller” is included gives this compilation much credit! But, “Electric Funeral” is Pantera’s best cover and I’m a little pissed that there’s no Type O on there. They are like the kings of cover songs! I mean “Day Tripper”, “Evil Ways”, “Summer Breeze” for Christ’s sake, all great tracks. And Six Feet Under could have had at least two tracks on each disc. They’ve got two cover cd’s and plenty of other cover song glory in their catalog.
Limp Bizkit- Faith…..Hey the the backlash is over now surely?
Turisas – Rasputin (How could you guys miss out this one?? It’s ace!)
Burn in Hell – Dimmu Borgir
Iconoblast – Alghazanth
What? None of the Covers Iron Maiden did as B-sides? Their version of Communication Breakdown is ace.
Also, Turias’ cover of Rasputin is great live
Agree with Liam!!
Machine Head – Hallowed Be Thy Name
BMTH-Eyeless (hardly as good as original but its a good effort)
Children Of Bodom-Oops I Did It Again
Korn-Word up
Megadeath-Paranoid
Should have been on it
Glad Atreyu is on the list though.
Need some Blind Guardian in here.
Probably Mr. Sandman. or Surfin The USA

Hammerfall – My Sharona!
Children Of Bodom – Somebody Put Something In My Drink

Children of Bodom – Ghostriders In The Sky
Fu Manchu – Moving In Stereo
Fu Manchu – Godzilla
Chimaira – Disposable Heroes
Saint Vitus – Thirsty and Miserable
The Black Crowes – Hard To Handle
Municipal Waste – Insecurity (don’t think they ever recorded it but it slayed at Download ‘08. Excel’s original is class too)
