Obituary Talk Up ‘Floridian Death Metal’ Worldwide Tour
Currently on the road with Amon Amarth, Obituary took some time to talk to Metal Hammer about the possibility of an upcoming tour by a selection of Floridian death metal bands.
Tampa, Florida’s Death Metal pioneers, Obituary, are currently on the ‘Full Of Hate Tour 2009′ with Amon Amarth and Metal Hammer caught up with them at The Forum in London where they revealed that ‘an old-school death metal package tour’ could be on the cards.
“We’ve been talking about putting a Death Metal package together with Obituary, Morbid Angel, Deicide and Six Feet Under,” said guitarist Trevor Peres.
“Nothing’s happened yet,” he continued. “But we’ve been talking about trying to do that. It would be a States thing at first but we could go globally, do a Florida Death Metal tour in Asia, Europe…anywhere that’s interested.”
“We’ve spoken to [Cannibal] Corpse already and even Six Feet Under said they’d do it… it’s just a matter of time basically.”

Yes, yes and fuckin’ more YES!!! Some original line-up Deicide and I’ll die a happy chappy.
hel yes ill be up for that
I’d prefer Cynic to Six Feet Under but fuck yes to this tour
They’d better do Australia or i’m going to be pissed.
and yes, i’d rather see Cynic than Six Feet Under anytime.
Cynic > Six Feet Under.
Screw Cynic. Six Feet’s far superior! If ya’ll could fanagle a Barnes/Corpse one or two song performance that would be worth a million bucks to us true Death-Heads!
i hope we get any hardcore more than the last edition.
we are vans metal hammer.
Missed Obituary this year, and such a tour would make up for that and more! One question, who would headline?
Now if only Chuck was still alive ,this would be the great thing that ever happened to mankind d in the millennium.
