Ozzy And Iommi To Face Off In Court
We were hoping it wouldn’t come to this but it looks as though the two former Black Sabbath men are set to take their spat over the rights to the band’s name into the court room.
Osbourne is suing guitar maestro Iommi for a 50% share in the band’s name after the latter chose to take sole ownership by filing it with the US Patent And Trademark Office last year.
Iommi alleges that Ozzy Osbourne waived his rights to the band’s moniker when he left the band in 1979, which Ozzy counters by saying that he enhanced the band’s ‘quality control’ when he rejoined Sabbath in 1997.
We’ll keep you posted on if this one end’s up in the dock.
