Ozzy Osbourne Promises Heavy Sabbath-Inspired Album

ozzy90The Double O is threatening to bring the metal on his forthcoming album.

Ozzy Osbourne is promising a ‘very, very heavy’ album that’s as inspired by his work in Black Sabbath as it is his own solo material.

“It’s very heavy,” says Ozzy. “It’s a cross between — it’s kind of like a Sabbath/Ozzy album, you know. It’s kind of, it wasn’t meant to, I didn’t plan on doing it but that’s the way it unfolded. A lot of it’s very, very heavy. I just hope people like it. I love it.”

Do we think that the legendary frontman has another classic album in him now that he’s added Gus G to his ranks?

I like the sound of this, seems Ozzy’s not completely under Sharon’s grip.

Ozzy is a crap-TV-show-making, butter-selling media tart who has lost all credibility now.

In spite of the fact Black Rain was actually quite good, it still wasn’t enough to counterbalance all the mainstream crap. His recent antics have soiled the heritage and I find him an embarrassment now and will not support him as a point of principle.

The constant “retirement” tours and albums have worn as thin as the bank balance they are plainly trying to desperately top up. He should go gracefully like the Scorpions and make way for new talent now.

There! My opinion, but it should get the haters going!! :P

Destroying Dignity

the only hope for this album is Gus G, if he’s nailing some excellent riffs as usual then maybe this wont totally suck. ozzy himself has become a joke, not just his media circus but his lyrics and vocals are long past their best

And another thing!!

Anyone else ever notice that historically when an artist says their forthcoming release is “really heavy” or “heaviest yet” it is invariably an attempt to distract from the fact that it is utterly crap and they’ve lost it?

Why is this given so much promotion, when there is for instance a brand new Misfits EP, the first new original material for years, released without hype and unmentioned on the news page of this website as far as I have seen? What about the two new free songs with Mortiis on vocals which are the first for years?

Corporate bullshit.

Can anyone explain that quote to me ‘cos I’m having trouble understanding what he means. He says its an Ozzy-sounding album but he didn’t intend for it to sound that way, it just happened. And this is coming out of Ozzy Osbourne himself?? I’d love to know what it was he originally planned to fob us off with. I’d much rather see Ozzy do a “very heavy” butter commercial ” or a “very heavy” reality TV show. That seems to be all he’s good at doing these days. Then his ugly bitch of a wife can have another “very heavy” facelift on that mug of hers.

Time will tell, but thank god he scrapped that god awful “soul sucka”, looking forward to this.

I only came here to say it’s “I can’t believe it’s not butter”…..

Ozzy may have done a shitty tv show, and may not be the sharpest knife in the kitchen, but i still remeber being six yrs old and watching the Bark At The Moon video… It was the only thing i had seen in my life, up to that point, that SCARED THE SHIT out of me.. and I couldnt turn away!… Ozzy lit the evil fire in me from day one. Thank you Oz man.
for that i’ll give it a listen…

Craig Metal

Couldnt care less about what Ozzy does on tv, I just like his music so im very much looking forward to a new album from him…and if its heavy…thats great, wouldnt want a load of ballads now would we???

Adrian Blade

Ozzy’s albums with Zakk Wylde have mostly been shite but with a few gems (no more tears, perry mason, I don’t want to stop) and it seems like a brilliant idea to get Gus G in.
A great guitarist that Ozzy hopes will bring back the Jake E. Lee and Randy R sound back.

‘The Double O’ sounds like something i was giving last night. It also sounds like what im having in anticipation of this new album

if its a deathcore album ill be very dissapointed
