Rage Against The Machine Finsbury Park Supports Confirmed
/ News / 10/05/2010 12:00pm
Gallows, UK hip-hopper Roots Manunva and gypsy punks Gogol Bordello have been confirmed as supports to Rage Against The Machine at their Finsbury Park party on June 6th. You may have read this somewhere before.
Bands confirmed for this year’s Download festival thus far: AC/DC, Aerosmith, Rage Against The Machine, Them Crooked Vultures, Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots, Bullet For My Valentine, Stone Sour, Megadeth, Motorhead, Slash, HIM, Airbourne, Steel Panther, Billy Idol, Lamb Of God, Volbeat, Five Finger Death Punch and many, many more to still be announced. Two out of three isn’t bad, but Roots Manuva is a far cry from Jane’s Addiction. Still, he’s ten times better live than he is on record.
Roots will be quality but I am not a fan of the other two bands.
I guess a side effect of it being a free gig is that not many A list bands will be up for it as I am sure they all have lots of lucrative festivals to sign up for.
Its a shame but hey, I get to see RATM again for FREE!!!!! Woop!
Complete jokkkeeee! Great, well, I get to see Gallows too atleast… Who the hell actually “voted” for Gallows Roots, or that Gypsy Metal whateveritislot.
Me thinks that for an awfully democratic band, this is a LITTLE bit hipocritical, seeming as they’re all on… the same label (More or less!) Hahahahah…
Joke. What happened to Cyprus Hill? Jane’s Addiction? “grass roots” just means terrible!!!!!!
Atleast Gallows will put on a good show.
BETTER BLOODY HAVE THE LONGEST OPENING SLOT.
See y’all there!

YOU TOLD US JANES ADDICTION! WHAT THE FUCK!
It’s a free gig, stop fucking complaining. I had the chance to get tickets, but getting somewhere to stay in London for a night + travelling costs from Devon makes it twice as costly as a regular gig anyway. If you’re lucky enough to be able to go for a minimal cost, any news is good news so enjoy the bands or shut the fuck up and do something else.
Seriously guys, Gogol Bordello are a great band and put on a fantastic show. Sure, they’re not metal, but they’re a hell of a lot of FUN. Isn’t that just a bit more important…?
Shame Cypress Hill aren’t playing but Gogol Bordello will be amazing.
Pretty much sublime and perfect. Only a SOAD reunion would be better
:)
Its a disgrace that Gallows are opening the whole thing – they go on first, then Roots, then Gogol. It should go Gogol – Roots – Gallows.
Before anyone flames me, I’m damn happy that I see all 4 bands for free, particularly Gallows and (obviously) RATM, I just feel the organisers have got the stage order wrong.
Plus, the doors open at 2pm and Gallows aren’t on until 5:35 – that;s far too long to wait!
Gogol are the main support because Tom Morello loves them – they and the Prodigy are the only two bands that he admits to being outplayed by, so by putting them as main support will really make Rage push their performance to be the best it can be – which, obviously, is a very good thing indeed!
quite dissapointing but its free so i cant complain. i probably wont watch any of the supports though
Yes, I seem to remember Jane’s Addiction being there too.
I was gonna yell “What kinda of stupid name is Duff anyway…?”
as long as i’m near a pit for gallows, and hear Sleep Now In The Fire, i will be a very happy chappy. 2 of my fav bands in one day. Plus Jig-Pits with Gogol Bordello
ITS RAGE FOR FUCKING FREE, QUIT YA BITCHIN, IF YOU’RE REALLY THAT BOTHERED, DON’T FUCKING GO!
Surely you were only two thirds right…
I thought Cypress Hill were the first band that was actually confirmed?
Line up is pretty crap…even for a free gig!
