It’s this machinery that puts forward a particular type of music which represents a particular kind of listener.
“There are a lot of people who don’t feel represented by it and this Christmas in the U.K. they’re having their say. My hope is that one of the results of this whole Christmas season is there’ll be a new generation of rockers who will take on the establishment with the music they write.”

Amazon are doing both singles as loss leaders to get the market share, and effectively are themselves paying the other 11p (chart rules say 40p) – they have confirmed all sales on Amazon at 29p WILL count towards the chart.

They are bought at 40p and Discounted down to 29p to encourage market share.
It’s the cheapest and the OCC and AMAZON have gone on record saying the sales will count.

Remember you can buy upto 3 times from a vendor before it gets flagged as suspicious (and invalidates all of them). At 30p-£1 buy it 2 times from amazon, play, itunes, 7digital etc. The more we spend, the more goes to charity (we’ve raised 41,000 already) and the less likely Joe whatever will get number 1.

Err guys, I’ve just purchased the single through play.com so I can happily say I’ve done my bit, BUT…
I’ve just checked out a few websites for the official UK charts to see what standing RATM currently have… ….and there is absoloutly no mention of the single in the ENTIRE top 40!? :-O
And this is on multiple websites as well, all of which have all the same songs on all the same ranking numbers.
I’m not sure there are as many people really buying this single as previously thought

Update – X factor’s winning on Play.com in the singles chart, but Rage is winning in the album chart and on iTunes. Rage is also winning on Amazon, but as pre-mentioned it doesn’t really count, does it?
