Reading/Leeds Make New Additions
Further additions have been made to this year’s Reading/Leeds festivals.
Here are the latest additions to this year’s completely sold-out Reading and Leeds festivals:
Main Stage READING – Friday 28th August/LEEDS Saturday 29th August: New Found Glory, Alexisonfire, Madina Lake, Sonic Boom Six, The Rakes, Fightstar.
NME/Radio 1 Stage – READING Friday 28th August/LEEDS – Sunday 30th August: The Horrors, Little Boots, The Airborne Toxic Event, The Virgins, Manchester Orchestra, Dananananaykroyd, You Me At Six, Metric, Spinnerette, Delphic, Dinosaur Pile Up.
NME/Radio 1 Stage READING Sunday 30th August/LEEDS – Saturday 29th August: Crystal Castles, Passion Pit, Frank Turner, Lethal Bizzle, In Case Of Fire, Broadway Calls.
Recent rumours have suggested that Faith No More will be joining the Reading/Leeds bill as headliners of the NME/Radio 1 Stage.
Reading/Leeds takes place between August 28th – 30th.

For once, Download has nabbed the majority of great festival bands. There’s usually enough bands on the Reading line-up to garner some interest from fans at the heavier end of the scale but this is poor.
And does your average MH reader need to know that Little Boots is playing Reading!?
The only artist worth seeing here would be Lethal Bizzle.

I’ve no idea who the majority of those bands are. There’s a couple I’ve heard of but never any of their music. While scanning it quickly my eyes caught the word “Airbourne” but that shot of interest soon faded away when I took a closer look.
Thanks Skumbo, I was worried I was the only one who had never heard of that lot. I know the obvious ones like Alexis, NFG, Bizzle (legend), You Me At Shit and Madina Lake (Fucking Suck) but that’s it. I’ve never heard of the rest. And I like precisely none of them. Sonisphere and Download have ALL the good heavy bands this year. Reading/Leeds may not have a metal band for a while…
I’ll stick to mowing me lawn ta if it’s all the same…
Anything even remotely good announced on that list is immediatly countered by that fact that they have Crystal Castles on that list

Meh, Alexisonfire are awesome and Fightstar are alright, but everything else appals my eardrums.
the only band i like who are playing there is the Eagles of Death Metal and Alexisonfire glad i aint going!
Makes Europe headlining the last day of Bloodstock seem brilliant.

I think its good that we get this info. Last year I went to Reading because of Metallica and Slipknot. Slipknot cancelled and the weekend was shit apart from Metallica. This year there is not one band to temp me to spend a whole weekend with indie kids, so thanks MH and Reading organisers for making my festival choices this year REALLY easy.
I’ve never even heard a Madina Lake song… but I still hate them.
