September 10th has been set as the release date for ‘Rick Rubin: In The Studio’ by Jake Brown, an in-depth look at the legendary producers career to date.

Jake spent three years researching the legendary producer who has worked with some of metals biggest bands including Slayer, Metallica, Linkin Park and System of a Down.

The book chronicles Rubin’s rise to become one of the music industries most sought after producers. It covers his years co-founding and running long standing Hip Hop label Def Jam while still finding time to record Slayer’s, ‘Reign in Blood’. Through to his production work today with as vast array of artists such as Justin Timberlake and Metallica.

Rubin is known for his guru-like ability to get inside artists heads to coax the best out of them so expect plenty of insight into your favorite bands heads.

Hopefully we might get to find out if he’s been hiding the original lyric sheets from ‘Reign in Blood’ in that beard for all these years.
