Road To Download: Down
It’s just over a week away and even the sun has got his hat on! Get in! We’ve got Download fever and so have the guys in Down! Check out our interview with the boys about all things Download!
Down drummer Jimmy Bower took a few minutes out of his schedule to talk to us about what you can expect from their set at this year’s Download festival. Down will be laying waste to all who stand before them on the main stage on Saturday, June 13th.
How much are you looking forward to playing this year’s Download?
Jimmy Bower: “Very much… Everyone loves Download!!”
Have you played before and if so what’s your greatest memory?
Jimmy: “We played the 11am opening slot in 2006 unannounced and all I can remember was the crowd looked like an actual sea of people… Getting to jam was an honour!”
Do you have any surprises plans?
Jimmy: “Wouldn’t be a surprise if we told ya!!!!”
What’s the pro’s and con’s to playing a festival set?
Jimmy: “The pro’s are endless. The only con is to have to stop jamming!
Describe why people should come and see your set in 5 words.
Jimmy: “‘CAUSE WE SAB OFF ALWAYS!!”
