Road To Download: Trigger The Bloodshed
It’s only two weeks until we’re all in a field getting smashed and banging our fucking heads! Woo hoo! We’re excited and so are Trigger The Bloodshed in today’s Road To Download interview!
UK death metal lords Trigger The Bloodshed were one of the breakthrough successes of last year’s Download festival and this year, they’re back supporting their kick-ass new album, ‘The Great Depression’. Catch them on the 2nd stage on Sunday, June 14th!
How much are you looking forward to playing this year’s Download?
Jonny Burgan: “I am incredibly excited to be playing Download, we’re all really looking forward to it, the other guys all played last year and fucking loved it, so I’m expecting an awesome show!”
Have you played before and if so what’s your greatest memory?
Jonny: “I’ve never played it before so I can’t wait! I’ve never even been to Download let alone play it, so it’s gonna be like an overload of excitement. Everyone’s said so many good things about how well you get treated there and how sick the crowd is so it should be awesome.”
If you’ve not played before, what’s your biggest ambition for this year’s Download set?
Jonny: “I just want to absolutely tear it up, have a shit load of fun, and get every motherfucker in the crowd, banging their heads with us!”
Do you have any surprises planned?
Jonny: “Well a certain red capped rock star did get in contact about a guest appearance, so we shall have to see… ”
What’s the pros and cons to playing a festival set?
Jonny: “Well the pro’s are obvious, you get to play an awesome stage, to awesome crowds and have loads of fun in the process. Only con is that times are strict so you can’t play for longer on the awesome stage, to the awesome crowd.”
Describe why people should come and see your set in 5 words.
Jonny: “To Bang Their Fucking Heads!”
