Paulos list is the best…but Gaga? Not meaning to be narrow minded but…seriously? s/he is utter wank
Finally somebody who actually appreciates Waking The Fallen.
i like leclerc’s list… its pretty decent…
but the others… :\
seriously… thats THEIR idea of the top 10 albums of the decade??
I dunno, its not too bad. Although Heafy putting ‘Ascendancy’ on there is a bit stuck up. Think I agree with Stroetzel most though, Halford and Soilwork… damn right
Sorry, but who said it had to be the best Metal albums of the last decade.. I would put the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack in as one of my albums of the decade, alongside Opeth, Alice In Chains and Thrice..
The idea of putting anything by Trivium in is pushing it though…
Matt Heafy put Coldplay……
I wasn’t against him before but I am now…
!
Heafy has chosen a coldplay Album… I find this disappointing. I’d rather listen to a sloshy turd being born than Chris Martin’s w@nky soft rock borefest
Lady Gaga may be a Pop product, but it *is* incredibly well written and produced. Hats off to her.
Agree with Eddie Maiden on both counts, although, much as I hate Trivium, I guess it’s maybe his favourite in terms of what it means to him than the quality of the music.
And I don’t know about anyone else, but Resurrection is one of my Desert Island Discs
Props to Joel’s list for including Nick Cave. However, that’s lost for including HIM and Ryan Adams.
Even ‘the blackening’ didn’t make it on :/
All that metal Max… then “Slumdog Millionaire” soundtrack… niice(Y)
Lost respect for anyone who didn’t say “Black Gives Way To Blue”. Lost even more respect for the two Trivium members because they didn’t say it but they did say Coldplay/Gaga. Also Heafy put a Trivium album on there. That’s gay.
Also: Soilwork… HELL YES!!
Am i the only person who doesnt find someone putting their own album wrong? if they think its one of the best then their more then entitled to theres nothing wrong with bein proud of your own work. grow up.
aboy paolo.. nobody ever gives soilwork enough credit, and that album is just soooo good..
Paolo’s list would be the best. But why in hell is Coldplay on there? & dont get me started on Lady Gaga. A couple of her songs are pretty catchy & worth listening to, but seriously. That’s kinda sad. =/
matt heafy has picked one of his own cds…what an absolute cock… everyone knows trivium are shit
wow heafy likes muse alot, haha good on the man. And Max knows his shit, Calculating Infinty and White Pony are just amazing
Wasn’t calculating infinity from 1999?
Also as expected, not one mention of one of the best albums of the decade
Byzantine – Oblivion Beckons
hang on yeah CI is from 99 WTF!!!!
Amen was released in 1999, although it is an awesome album.
Paolo Gregoletto and Matt Heafy would be the closest to my taste from choosing from these guys lists
Matt Heafy has just confirmed what everyone thinks of him and his band. Full of themselves and shit!
Not one solitary mention of Tool – Lateralus, very disappointing!!!
Paolo’s list is probably the best but he’s spoilt it with Lady Gaga, I really didn’t expect MKH to put his own album, bit arrogant tbh.
good to see nevermore mentioned, quality band and massively overlooked
Just lost so much respect for Corey Taylor…
Greenday?!
Greenday can chew on a big dick, terrible musicians in everyway. Although he did pick Feel the Steel which was awesome
@JohnnyBuc
Theres nothin wrong with being proud of your own work, a little arrogant i’ll give you that, but it is an awesome album and he has the right to be proud of it.
Re that bloke from Trivia including his own record….Most bands say they write music first and foremost to please themselves. By that logic, a band who says that should put their latest release at the top of any list….otherwise they’re only spouting cliches or are too limited as musicians to realise their sonic dreams.
Max knows what hes talking about. How does Hatebreed and Lady Gaga grace the same list?
MAX CAVALERA IS THE NEXT GOLDEN GOD !!! he has made metal way better and Soulfly = AMAZING xxx
