Judas Priest frontman Rob halford has called upon the metal world to not mourn the band’s decision to embark on a farewell tour and to instead embrace the band’s incredible legacy.
“I think it’s time, you know,” Halford told Uweekly.com. “We’re not the first band to say farewell, it’s just the way everyone comes to at some point and we’re gonna say a few more things early next year, so I think the main thing that we just want to ask everybody to consider is don’t be sad about this, start celebrating and rejoicing over all the great things we’ve done in Judas Priest.”
After storming the world of heavy metal for nearly 40 years, Judas Priest have announced that their upcoming Epitaph world tour will be their last. There’s no time for tears here though as Priest have also revealed that their final world tour will begin in Europe and will include an all guns blazing headline set at next year’s High Voltage festival!

Judas Priest will headline on Saturday, July 23rd and Dream Theater will top the bill on Sunday, July 24th.
