zombie_90Rob Zombie has inked a new global deal with leading rock label Roadrunner Records…

Roadrunner have just announced that “as Zombie exits his former label of eighteen years, where he sold fifteen million records as a solo artist and with his former band White Zombie. Zombie’s new album, ‘Hellbilly Deluxe 2’ will now be released by Roadrunner’s Loud & Proud imprint in early 2010.”

“It certainly wasn’t an easy decision to make after all this time, but it had to be done,” states Zombie. “I love this new record and wanted to surround myself with an excited new group of people who can reignite my enthusiasm for working within a hard rock record label. Roadrunner seems to be the perfect place.”

“Roadrunner is thrilled to be involved with Rob Zombie on a worldwide basis, as he is a multiple-threat artist whom we’ve admired for many years,” said Roadrunner president Jonas Nachsin. Tom Lipsky, founder and president of Loud & Proud echoed Nachsin’s sentiment, “Rob Zombie hits hard on ‘Hellbilly Deluxe ‘2 and the fans expect nothing less. We are excited about the monster mayhem that he is certain to create!”

The first single from the new album, “What?” recently launched at all rock radio formats and is quickly climbing the US radio charts. This latest album marks the follow-up to 1998’s ‘Hellbilly Deluxe’, which has racked up triple platinum status in the US.

The track listing is as follows:

Kinda agree, from the sounds of it Geffen weren’t prepared to give him the support he needs for this album e.g. not givng him the financial backing to help him promote ‘Hillbilly Deluxe 2′

Roadrunner will really promote this album. in the times ive been a music fan, roadrunner have always had the latest and decent bands, minus a few rare bands that could be forgotten in recent years.but a pretty solid signing.

This Is a Backward step, for metal, RR are the label who will pick up any metal band once they have been dropped by a major! They are not allways the best option, I would Urge Caution! Especially In the uk… The label are good with some bands, but not all ways the right ones, Trivium and MH ar good examples of this..

Great, we’ll part with our well earned cash only for this to be re-released with a bonus cd/bonus dvd/bonus remix album/alternate artwork/free kitchen sink etc in the near future. God bless Roadrunner Records!

That should have said hard earned cash!

Roadrunner are a dodgy shower of bastards. Zombie had better be careful with those fuckers. Just ask Biohazard, Amen, Type O Negative, Obituary, Fear Factory, etc…

Bands seem to have a love/hate relationship with Roadrunner…

So many great bands like Sepultura, 3 Inches Of Blood, Type O, Fear Factory, 36 Crazyfists, and more have been signed to them at some stage and then been dropped.

But hey, on the other hand other bands have kept with them all the way (usually the super popular ones like Slipknot, Trivium, Machine Head etc)
